Although it was first composed thousands of years ago, Homer's Odyssey still resonates with many issues concerning today's military members, veterans, and their families. Telling the story of a soldier's return from war, this epic deals with questions of homecoming, reunion, and the struggle to reintegrate into civilian life.
Join us for a series of discussions beginning on Monday May 14, 2018 as we make our way through this classic text. The sessions will be led by Shanyn Fiske, Ph.D., Associate Professor of English at Rutgers University and Winden Rowe, MS, a clinical psyc hologist in private practice specializing in combat and noncombat trauma.
The discussion group meets for five weekly sessions and is free to veterans, active military members, and military families.
