(January 11th at 6:00PM) Celebrate the birthday of our patron BAYARD TAYLOR at the KENNETT LIBRARY. Come share a poem, short story, or excerpt of your own work, or read us one of your favorites from an author you admire. Don't have anything to read? Just bring your mind and ears to support literacy in your local community.
(February 10, 10AM) Walt Koken, founding member of the fabled Highwoods Stringband, reminisces about traveling and playing old time music in the 1960's and 1970's. He will talk about and sign copies of his new books, "Fire on the Mountain," and will perform at the Kennett Library.
(February 10th at 2:00 PM) Refine your palate for fine chocolate here at the Kennett Library! Join the Kennett Library in welcoming Estelle Tracy of 37 Chocolates as she guides us through the world of craft chocolate. Sample hand crafted goods while learning about their history and production.

Book Club (Last Thursdays at 7:00PM) Our ongoing library book group meets on the last Thursday of every month. Books are provided to registered book club members by the library.
International Book Club (Third Wednesdays at 7:00PM) A monthly book club focusing on international authors. Books are provided to registered book club members by the library.
Graphic Novel Book Club (Last Tuesdays at 6:30PM) This graphic novel book club for adults explores the very best of the genre from the artsy and obscure to big two classics. Books are provided to registered book club members by the library.
(Last Wednesdays at 6:30PM) Try out our newest monthly literary club to read and discuss poetry!
(First Fridays at 6:00PM) We're opening up Video Game Club's cabinet for one night in the off season, and for the first time we're inviting anyone up to 12th grade for our experimental OPEN ARCADE NIGHT! On the first friday of the off season, join us after hours when the library transforms into a free arcade. Expect everything from AAA titles to your favorite obscure games from twitch at a level of production you can't get at home.
(Mondays in February from 4:00pm - 6:00pm) The Kennett Library eSports League is coming this summer! This February get a taste of the action as we open the Overwatch Preseason. Hone your skills alongside your friends in the competitive PC gaming team sport of overwatch. Computers and accounts provided. Please register ahead.
(Tuesdays at 5:00PM) New and experienced players of the super popular strategic card game Magic: The Gathering can meet and play every week!
(Last Thursdays at 4:00PM) We're partnering with our neighbors the Garage Community and Youth Center at 115 S. Union Street this fall to bring you the ultimate monthly club! Join us every month for a screening of a film adaptation of a popular book, then stick around to discuss its success and failures with us. We'll be fully transforming the garage to give you the complete HD movie theater experience. A limited number of copies of the book will available for free by request all month, but feel free to join in even if you haven't read it!

(Alternating Wednesdays starting September 6 at 4:00PM) Do you have arcane proclivities? Are you half orc on your mother’s side? Do you have an insatiable lust for treasure? Join us regularly for tabletop RPG adventures using systems like Dungeons and Dragons!
(Select Mondays at 10:00AM) January 8th, 15th & February 5th, 19th. Children will create and perform musical theater versions of classic fairly tales. This camp is facilitated by Children's Performer/Preschool Music Director Linda Bunting.
Family Story Time (Ages 3 -5) (Mondays at 10:00AM) Our story times emphasize early literacy skills such as talking, singing, reading, writing, and playing. Our goal is to provide fun and rich experiences that build a love of books and learning.
Art Club (Ages Birth - 10) (Tuesdays at 6:00PM starting 11.21.17) Paint, draw, model, sculpt, collage, cut, stick, squish, squirt, mark, make, transform, laugh, imagine, think, create, experiment and make new friends every Tuesday night at the library.
Paws for Reading (Early readers) (1st and 3rd Tuesdays at 6:00PM) Children read individually to trained therapy dogs in order to improve reading and communication skills in a stress-free space.
(2nd and 4th Thursdays at 10:30AM) Ages 2-5. A fun class that introduces children to yoga. We will learn yoga through song, movement, games and of course books!
Family Place Playgroup (Ages Birth - 4) (Thursdays at 10:00AM) Children enjoy playing with educational toys while parents get to socialize with other families.
