The Kennett Library raised $900,000 from the sale of their property at the corner of Old Baltimore Pike and Ways Lane.


12/13  The 2017 Annual Kennett Library appeal is mailed to over 13,000 homeowners and businesses in the Kennett Library service area.

12/12 The Board of Trustees votes to move ahead with design presented by RRMM  Lukmire Architects at the 11/29 building committee meeting.

12/22  The Kennett Library raised $900,000 from the sale of their property at the corner of Old Baltimore Pike and Ways Lane.  The funds from this sale will go towards the capital campaign to build a new Library at the corner of State sand Willow Streets.  Chatham Financial purchased the 5.2 acre lot for $900,000 which was $150,000 over the  $750,000 appraised value in order to help support the Library fundraising for there new Library. The Board  of Trustees had previously approved the sale, recognizing it was the next step in process to build the new library.
