Highlights of the event include:
- Author and storyteller, Bettinita Harris, in our Children’s Freedom Village, who will also engage children in arts and crafts
- Live African drumming performances
- Featured performance by acclaimed stilt walker and dancer Mafalda Thomas-Bouze
- Family-friendly activities and games, lantern making and other art projects for children
- Opportunities to meet local artisans, historians, educators, and community leaders
- Caribbean dishes and contemporary cuisine from local Black-owned restaurants and food trucks
- Vendor marketplace featuring unique crafts, products, and community resources
Chester County Imagination Library
Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is now available to all children living in Chester County! Children from birth to age 5 who live in Chester County can now be enrolled in the Chester County Imagination Library program to receive a FREE BOOK in the mail once a month.
The Chester County Imagination Library is powered locally by Arts Holding Hands and Hearts (AHHAH) in partnership with the Justamere Foundation and the Kennett Library. Our goal through this program is to increase literacy levels for preschool age children living in Chester County, PA, to provide opportunities for positive family experiences and engagement, and to foster a love of reading in the greater Chester County community.
