6/7 - The Kennett Library obtained a release from the Hope Chatham Masonic Lodge to purchase the 120 S. Willow Street property. The new library building will extend onto the 120 S. Willow Street property.
6/20 - Lukmire Architects provides the 3rd library design revision which incorporates changes to reduce construction costs.
6/21 - The Kennett Library signed an Agreement of Sale with Darryl Hall to purchase the 120 S. Willow Street property. Due diligence for 90 days and then closing shortly thereafter. The purchase price is $350,000.
The fourth redesign of the new library was unveiled and discussed by the building committee. EDIS, our construction manager, is working on a new cost estimate based on the latest design.
The Library’s “Through the Looking Glass” Fall fundraiser was held at the Mendenhall and raised $40,000, a 50% increase over last year’s inaugural event
