Room Reservations at Kennett Library
Interested in reserving a room at the Kennett Library? Do you have staff meeting, training, or board meeting needs?

With the completion of the new Kennett Library & Resource Center building, the Kennett Library is happy to offer expanded room bookings to the community with the understanding that priority will be given to programs and meetings sponsored by the Kennett Library. Community organizations are encouraged to use the meeting room facilities at the Kennett Library for educational, cultural, and civic purposes. Room Bookings serve the popular, recreational, informational, and social needs of the general public and reflect equitable opportunity and engagement to a diverse community while promoting a culture of inclusion. There is a fee for using the meeting rooms, and use is subject to the conditions outlined below in the Room Booking Guidelines section:
ROOM BOOKING PROCESS:
- By submitting a room request electronically, individuals agree to abide by these guidelines.
- If a meeting request does not comply with the guidelines, access to the room will not be granted.
- Priority is given to programs and meetings sponsored by the Kennett Library.
- A meeting may be scheduled up to 60 days in advance but no sooner than one week.
- Two bookings can be made per individual/organization per month.
- The rooms can be booked for up to 3 hours, with a 1-hour minimum. Bookings for longer than 3 hours will incur overtime charges, please contact the staff to proceed 610-444-2702.
- Contact person accepts responsibility for the meeting room facility and will:
- Notify the library of any change in the meeting schedule.
- Will be notified of any library-initiated schedule changes.
- Will be contacted for public or media inquiries regarding the meeting or organization.
ROOM USE
- Participants, activities, and noise levels must be confined to the booked room.
- No outside alcohol or drugs are to be brought into the library.
- No weapons are allowed.
- Snacks and beverages are permitted in meeting rooms. For meals or catered food please request a private event. All food is subject to a cleaning charge.
- Rooms must be returned to their original condition within 30 minutes of the reserved time, including disposal of all trash.
- Meetings must be concluded 30 minutes prior to the end of the Kennett Library’s business day.
- All organizations and individuals must comply with the Fire Code (no open flames, candles, or tea lights are permitted, and room occupancy guides must be obeyed).
- Balloons and inflatables are prohibited in all rooms as well as the outside areas of the library.
- Each room is equipped with a tech-bag. There is a replacement fee of $50 for any lost or broken items.
- Tech assistance may require an additional staffing fee of $25.
FINANCIAL DETAILS
- Any groups making sales donate 15% of the proceeds back to the library. Author sales are 10%.
- Kennett Library reserves the right to cancel any event for any reason. All reservations must be canceled prior to 24 hours in advance to receive a 50% refund. 100% refund if canceled 48 hours in advance. All refunds are processed through the county library system and take up to 30 days to receive a check in the mail. No-shows are not subject to a refund.
- Weather-related cancellations: While we will not offer refunds, we can offer a rescheduled date.
- Booking is not finalized until payment is received in full. If payment is not received within 72 hours prior to the event, the reservation is canceled.
LIABILITY
- If any damage or loss occurs, the group using the room must pay for the repair or replacement of the items.
- All organizations and individuals will conduct programs and activities in facilities owned or operated by Kennett Library. By submitting this form, organizations or individuals agree to monitor the activities to minimize the risk of injury to themselves and to the participants. With respect to any loss or injury arising from the programs and activities, organizations/individuals agree to release Kennett Library and the city or town from any liability and to indemnify and hold harmless Kennett Library and the city or town from any such claim.
Reserve a Meeting Room
Room Reservation Details:
- A reservation may be scheduled up to 60 days in advance but no sooner than one week.
- Two bookings can be made per individual/organization per month.
- The rooms can be booked for up to 3 hours, with a 1-hour minimum. Bookings for longer than 3 hours will incur overtime charges, please contact the staff to proceed at 610-444-2702.
Room Reservation Process:
- Request a room electronically at the link above.
- Library staff will be in touch within 3 business days to approve (or deny) your request and collect payment/send an invoice.
- A confirmation email will be sent once payment is received.
- If payment is not received within 72 hours prior to the event, the reservation is cancelled.
Reserve a Study Room
Room Reservation Details:
- A reservation may be scheduled up to 60 days in advance but no sooner than 24 hours.
- Two reservations can be made per individual/organization per week.
- Each reservation has a 2-hour maximum, 1-hour minimum.
- Reservations for the Study Room are free
