Volunteering at the library is a fantastic opportunity to help your community in a variety of ways.

We are always seeking volunteers! 

Circulation Volunteer

Circulation Volunteer positions require the following physical abilities: to handle, lift or move library materials weighing up to 25 pounds; to stand, sit, walk, stoop or reach within a confined area.

Adult Literacy Volunteer

The Adult Literacy Program is seeking volunteers to tutor adults in reading, writing, and comprehending English. Volunteer tutors set their own hours and no foreign language experience is required.

Volunteering Opportunities: Shelving and book processing Helping at the Circulation Desk Greeting & interacting with patrons In-house special events and programs (movies, concerts, speakers, art openings, conferences and more) Off-site events (such as the Kennett Arts Festival) Managing in-house book sales Spring and fall plant swaps, Meadowitos gardening, landscape upkeep Keeping us clean and organized Tutoring ALP students Re-stocking PULL (little free libraries)
